He was my brother for a short time but he is always remembered on Dec 5th and any day I think back to a time so long ago.

I knew, sweated and trained with these guys. Many faces and names I have forgotten over the years but I'll always remember the men of A/2/2 on Dec 5, 1965. From the barracks of Fort Devens to Vietnam, we always covered each other's backs. I'll never forget them or what they did at Bau Bang and Ap Nha Mat.

A Note from The Virtual WallOn 05 Dec 1965, during Operation BUSHMASTER II, the 2/2nd Inf became heavily engaged with an estimated VC regiment. They were supported by A/2/33rd Arty and reinforced by 2/28th Infantry. During what became known as the battle of Ap Nha Mat, the US units killed 301 VC, captured many weapons, and destroyed a main camp ... but there were 39 dead and 3 missing Americans. They were
